Spring is almost here!
I feel like I've been hibernating for the last few months, photographically at least. I haven't really taken anything other then the odd snapshots of Christmas and Birthdays since my last blog entry, hence the radio silence. Anyway, being always the showoff, when I have new work I feel I need to post it. Here are the first few shots from my latest shoot, along with my Brother Ryan .
The shoot was a family affair, Kristie's side. Shots of the kids all together and apart and whatever else we could capture. Had a blast and again learned a lot about lighting and composition. Thanks to everyone involved for a successful shoot, not to mention a great meal and some good times :)

Cassandra
I've finally finished a few projects I've been working on, and thought I would share the results of my most recent. Cassandra is an actor I work with, who asked me to do a headshot for her. 200 or so pictures and several hours of editing later she got her headshot...along with a few spares of course. Cass is a fascinating model to work with, possibly the most expressive person I've met, and damn, just fun to shoot. We had a great time at the shoot, and I had a lot of fun coming up with these results. I hope you all enjoy, but mostly I hope she does :)

Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween Everyone! I know they aren't the best shots out there, but I've been carving Pumpkins for the last 5 hours and I'm a lil sleepy. Have a spooky one!

Socks!
Look at those awesome socks! OK, this is the final set from my Bug-a-Bows Photo shoot. Kaileigh is a Little old for the Tutu's admittedly, but was a huge help at the shoot, and was an excellent model to finish off the day. She was easy to work with, willing to co-operate with us guys behind the cameras and just has a great look. These are my favorite shots from that day, especially the top image. Something about that POV shot with the wild socks just brings out the playfulness in this series. Now that I'm done with these shots I'd just like to thank everyone who participated in the shoot. Thank-you to all the models for being patient and well behaved and just absolutely adorable. Thanks to all the parents for lending us your angels for an afternoon. Thanks to Ryan for letting me use your equipment and teaching me so much in such a short time. Most of all thank-you Lisa for lending us your home and costumes and giving me a reason to try my hand at this style of photography. I've learned a lot and had a great time doing it. Thanks

Here are a few more shots from my Bug-a-Bows photo shoot. I'll be posting the last 4 shots from this shoot in the next few days. Todays shots are my favorites of each of the other young models we had at the shoot. My favorite feature of all three of these shots were their eyes, all these girls had just stunning eyes. I was fortunate to be able to get a clear focus on all of them with the chaos that was going on during the shoot. This was definitely was an interesting experience, and I have to say, after all my doubt going into the shoot, it's an experience I hope to repeat soon. I was very nervous taking pictures of people, and being in a formal setting...well, formal probably isn't the right word, lol, but you get the idea...it was even more intimidating. In the end it was a lot of fun and I learned a lot. I've already done another shoot, and had a great time. I'll try to post a few shots from that one soon as I'm done editing them. Unit then.

Bug-a-bows 2
Here is the second set of pictures from my Bug-a-Bows Photo shoot. This Beautiful little girl is Kaiya. If Sienna was the easiest little one to work with, Kaiya was the most fun. She was very interested in me and the camera and kept crawling back to me to try to grab it. I got these beautiful shots of her looking directly in the lens, which as you can see turned out pretty good. Hope you guys enjoy this set and I'll be back in a few days with #3.

Tutu Cute
Now is this kid cute or what? Last weekend I did a photo shoot with my brother Ryan. We were taking pictures of young models for my Aunt Lisa's start up fashion company Bug-a-Bows Bowtique. She makes and sells hair accessories and tutus for girls. The product is adorable, and as you can see, so were the models.
This is the first time I've done a "professional" shoot...well as professional as you can get with your Aunt, your brothers and a bunch of cute kids running around. I got to play with Ryan's lighting rig, which was an eye opener...now I have severe gear envy. I learned a lot, and had a blast, it was a really fun...though somewhat grueling day. I've spent a lot of time this week editing the photos, and I hope you all enjoy them.
I'll be posting a few shots at a time, starting with my niece Sienna. Of the young kids she was the most fun to take pictures of, she is great in front of the camera, takes direction well, and is just the cutest thing :)
Enjoy these shots and I'll see you in a day or two with some more pictures.
